Accommodation Bookings

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern all accommodation bookings made with Sylvan Glen Estate.

By confirming a booking, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Sylvan Glen Estate is located in New South Wales, Australia.

2. Deposit

A 30% non-refundable deposit of the total booking amount must be received to confirm the booking. Payment of this deposit will indicate acceptance of these booking conditions.

All prices are listed in AUD (Australian Dollars) and include GST where applicable.

3. FINAL PAYMENT

Full payment must be received at least 30 days prior to check in.

For bookings made inside 4 weeks to check-in, full payment is required at the time of booking, via credit card.

If deposit of final payment is not received by the due date, Sylvan Glen reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Confirmation and invoices are subject to re-issue if incorrect through error or omission, and the guest accepts the liability to then pay the correct cost or device to retain the reservation with full refund.

4. Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in time: From 2:00 PM
  • Check-out time: By 10:00 AM

Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request but is not guaranteed.

Failure to vacate the property by check-out time may result in additional charges.

5. Cancellation Policy

Standard Accommodation Bookings

  • Cancellations made more than 90 days before arrival: Full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 90 days of arrival: Non-refundable.

All cancellations must be made in writing via email.

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed to the original payment method.

6. Guest Responsibilities

The person making the booking is responsible for:

  • The behavior of all guests staying at the property.
  • Ensuring the property is left in a reasonable condition.
  • Reporting any damage immediately.

Guests must:

  • Respect neighboring properties.
  • Comply with local council regulations.
  • Not exceed the maximum occupancy stated in the booking.

Excess guests may result in immediate termination of the stay without refund.

7. Damage & Loss

Guests are financially responsible for:

  • Damage to buildings, furnishings, equipment or grounds.
  • Missing items.
  • Excessive cleaning required after departure.

We reserve the right to charge the payment method provided for any additional costs incurred.

8. Use of Property

The accommodation is provided for short-term residential use only.

Unless separately agreed in writing:

  • No parties or events are permitted.
  • No commercial activities may take place.
  • No subletting is allowed.

For weddings, corporate retreats or private events, separate event agreements apply.

9. Safety & Liability

Guests use the property and facilities at their own risk.

Sylvan Glen Estate is not liable for:

  • Injury, accident or loss sustained during the stay.
  • Loss, theft or damage to personal belongings.
  • Interruptions caused by weather, power outages, natural events or circumstances beyond our control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform obligations where such failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Fire
  • Government restrictions
  • Extreme weather events
  • Utility failures

11. Privacy

Personal information collected during booking is used solely for:

  • Managing reservations
  • Processing payments
  • Guest communication

We comply with Australian privacy laws. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Any disputes arising shall be subject to the jurisdiction of NSW courts.

13. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of booking applies.

14. Additional Agreements for Events

Please note that accommodation Terms & Conditions apply to standard stays only.

For the following bookings, a separate written agreement is required:

  • Wedding Events
  • Corporate Retreats
  • Private Venue Hire

These agreements contain additional clauses relating to, but not limited to:

  • Public liability and insurance requirements
  • Alcohol service and RSA compliance
  • Noise restrictions and local council regulations
  • Guest capacity limits
  • Property use conditions
  • Damage, cleaning and bond requirements

All event-based bookings are subject to a signed agreement prior to confirmation.
